we run Dante which runs over ip and for some reason Ableset is reading the Dante IP address for remote connection instead of a standard internet ip. How do I get it to read internet ip as the primary ip instead?

AbleSet looks for the first network interface in the System Preferences. If you want to change the primary IP address, you can change the order of network interfaces in your network preferences :)
